DANR Town Hall Meeting in NJ
President Montilla joins town hall meeting attendees at Passaic Community College in Paterson, NJ
The DANR is hosting a series of town hall meetings on the 2010 Census and issues affecting Dominicans in USA
On July this year, DANR National Board Member and former Vice President Luis Guzman, coordinated a DANR town hall meeting in Passaic Community College in Paterson, New Jersey.
The event was attended by local residents, US Census representatives, leaders, students and Paterson Councilman Julio Tavarez.
A US Census representative spoke about connecting with national organizations such as the DANR in order to spread the message about the importance of being counted.
The meetings are also an opportunity to discuss current issues affecting Dominicans in their state and across the country.
These are opportunities for the DANR to hear and interact with people from the Latino and Dominican communities regarding issues important to them and to us.
