In an effort to promote the importance of racial self-awareness, DANR officers and scholars discuss with

                                           students and guests race matters and Blackness considering the Dominican ethnic/racial and migratory 

                                           experience. Is being black a sense of pride or shame for Dominicans and Dominican Americans?

Panelists will discuss the current state of education in our communities and explain what needs to be done 

to improve education outcomes for all students. Coordinated by Association of Dominican American School Supervisors and Administrators (ADASA)                                            

9:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Economic Development – Congressional Room South (US Capitol Visitor Center) 

Panelists will talk about U.S. small business policy, opportunities and challenges for small businesses, and

                                           the role of chambers of commerce and advocacy groups to address the needs of small business owners
