Washington, DC.– The National Dominican American Council of Perth Amboy will hold a working meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 7pm in the Mexican Association of Perth Amboy located at 333 Lawrie St, Perth Amboy NJ. 08861.
The meeting will be attended by Nestor Montilla, Sr., Chairman of the Dominican American National Roundtable, the only non-partisan, non-profit membership organization based in Washington, DC advocating for the causes and socio-economic and civic advancement of Dominicans residing in the United States and territories, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Chairman Montilla will talk about NDAC’s ongoing recruitment campaign efforts, and other important matters including grassroots advocacy and the role of Perth Amboy Dominican American Council in setting the local agenda.
“On behalf of our Board of Directors I would like to invite Perth Amboy residents to join our national movement by becoming active members of DANR and the National Dominican American Council,” said Chairman Montilla. “Your membership and active participation help us advocate on behalf of Dominican Americans in areas concerning, education, economic development, health, immigration and community empowerment.”
Founding members of the NDAC Perth Amboy Council, founded in December 2011, included Demetrio Almonte, Samuel Lebreault, Bernabe Francisco, Isabel Francisco, Milady Tejada, Artimedes Restituyo, Frank Salado, Victor Collado, Fausto Diaz y Victor Coronado.
